Purpose:

By default, most downloaded PDF files open in the Internet browser currently in use, usually in a new window or tab. You can set up the browser to automatically download PDF files, rather than open in a new tab. The instructions below are for the Chrome browser.

When signed into Chrome: 1. Open the more menu in the upper rights.
2. Navigate down and select Settings.
3. Select Privacy and Security on the left menu.
4. Select Site Settings.
5. Select PDF documents.
6. Turn on "Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome". The button should turn blue.
