Searching in Gmail

Use Google's powerful search engine to find emails that you have archived, labeled, or that have moved to the bottom of your inbox.

Add additional search terms to narrow down your search. You can search in the Subject line only or combine the subject with a date range, or include only messages with attachments.

To search for a phrase, use quotation marks. Example: "school board meeting" otherwise Google sees them as individual words but not necessarily in that order or together.

You can use Search Operators to further refine your search. Gmail Search
